Accu-Chek Smart Pix provides ‘state-of-the-art’ connectivity for Accu-Chek devices, by using USB connection and standard file formats (HTML, XML, BMP, PNG) With Accu-Chek Smart Pix Pocket Tools, reports can be saved or emailed in PDF format.
When connected to a PC, Accu-Chek Smart Pix is recognised by the computer as a mass storage device (similar to a USB memory stick). All data from the uploaded devices, and also the elements needed for the user interface, appear as files on this drive and are not transferred to the hard disk of the computer.
Accu-Chek Smart Pix connects via a USB cable to a PC, therefore a free USB port is needed.
There is no need for batteries; power to Accu-Chek Smart Pix is provided via the USB port
The PC’s operating system must provide full USB support; therefore Microsoft® Windows 2000, Microsoft® XP (Home or Professional) or Microsoft® Vista must be used. Older operating systems do not provide the needed USB support.
For accessing the user interface of Accu-Chek Smart Pix an Internet browser must be installed - Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.x and later, Firefox® 1.x and later, Opera 8.x and later.
The user interface of the Accu-Chek Smart Pix system is optimized for a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels; the monitor must be set to that resolution or higher.
