Roche Diabetes Care is pleased to offer you free access to the mySugr Pro app during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We are offering our support to you and the healthcare system during this time by providing six months of free access for adults with diabetes to our diabetes management app, mySugr Pro*.

Free access to mySugr Pro (usually R539.99 per year) will help your experience of digital / telephone appointments by digitally providing blood glucose monitoring information to your Healthcare Professional. You can download the mySugr app to your smartphone and unlock the Pro version using the activation code. Once you have mySugr Pro installed you can download a report and send it to your Healthcare Professional via email.

mySugr allows you to enter blood glucose results from any device and is already used by more than 2 million registered users worldwide1. The Pro version of mySugr has valuable additional features to help with diabetes self-management. See below for the benefits of mySugr Pro.

Getting started with the mySugr app

  1. Download the mySugr app on the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Create your mySugr account.
  3. Unlock mySugr Pro for free to access the advanced PDF report feature and more:

    regardless of which blood glucose monitoring device you use by visiting https://shop.mysugr.com/en/voucher and entering the voucher code:

    Pair your Accu-Chek Meter for unlimited access to Pro

    If you use an Accu-Chek Instant or Guide, pair your Accu-Chek© meter for unlimited access to Pro.

    Go to “Connections” on the menu to start the pairing process.

  1. To check if you have a compatible smart phone please contact the Roche Diabetes Care Customer Centre on +27 (11) 504 4677.
  2. Subject to the terms and conditions set out below, Roche Diabetes Care Limited (“Roche”) will provide adults with diabetes (aged 18 years and over) with complimentary access to the Pro version of the mySugr diabetes management app to help with the remote management of their diabetes during the COVID-19 pandemic (the "Offer").
  3. The Offer is open to adults with diabetes aged 18 years and over residing in South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia and Botswana (each a “Qualifying User”).
  4. The Offer will be made available via a code which can be redeemed once per Qualifying User.
  5. The code will give Qualifying Users access to the Pro version of the mySugr app for six months from the date of redemption of the code. The code may be redeemed until 30 September 2020.
  6. Roche does not accept any liability for technical failures of any kind including internet failures which may occur in the administration of downloading of the mySugr app.
